National Poetry Day

A poem to mark National Poetry Day (www.nationalpoetryday.co.uk) -

Diplomatic Immunity

Whether Presidents or Prime Ministers

Or just lesser players in the game

Should politicians assume the right

To lie and cheat and shame?

With total arrogance they flaunt their power

Yet their weakness is plain to see

But they’re not scared, they know they can rely

On the lethargy of people like me.
