Support a tax on plastic bags

Further to my blog about plastic bags last month, I have joined nearly 12,000 people who have already signed a petition to introduce a tax to reduce their use.

A similar tax introduced in Ireland not only resulted in a 90% drop in plastic bag usage, it raised 3.5 million Euros which was spent on environmental projects.
