The Tories continue to tax us… with their daft ideas!

“Lower taxes aren’t just for Christmas. They are for life,” said George Osborne, shadow chancellor at the Tory party conference earlier today.

You couldn’t make it up… but the Tories are clearly making it up as they go along in a desperate bid to win back power.

Only 6% of estates are affected by inheritance tax yet the Tories are claiming that nine million households will benefit from their inheritance tax proposal. Try making that add up!

How they are going to recoup the £3.1 billion cost of this initiative is not clear but clearly it is not going to be from introducing radical green taxes.

Despite a poll showing that the majority of people are in favour of green taxes such as higher taxes for fuel inefficient vehicles, Cameron and his cronies are backing off from embracing initiatives to tackle climate change.

Instead the Tories are planning to reduce a tax which will simply give more money to a small percentage of the population who are well off already!
